Ultramono Corp unfolds as a poetic exploration of robotics and artificial intelligence within a virtual reality landscape. In this fictitious production facility, digital imagination intertwines with industrial realism, presenting a world that mirrors humanity’s complex relationship with automation, AI, and the implications of a transhumanist future. The project explores the philosophical dimensions of artificial intelligence, positioning the facility as both a technological hub and a space for existential reflection.
At the core of Ultramono Corp is an ongoing tension between the utopian aspirations of AI development and the unsettling limitations of these technologies. Inspired by sci-fi and contemporary issues, the project navigates ethical challenges related to automation, from job displacement to AI's struggle to comprehend human emotions.
Ultramono Corp invites participants to embark on a ritualistic journey through the heart of an AI workshop, echoing avatars as vehicles for self-exploration. Within this labyrinth of code, data, and mechanized intelligence, Deleuze and Guattari’s concept of the Body without Organs (BwO) resonates. The workshop dismantles traditional identities and reveals a world where humans and machines continuously shift, evolve, and adapt to new forms of existence. In this fluid ecosystem, Ultramono's robots embody a state of becoming, offering glimpses of an alternate future where human bodies are reshaped and augmented by artificial forms.
The facility is a speculative space where robotic dolls, AI avatars, and hybrid entities converge in ritualistic performances, blurring the boundaries between humanity and post-human existence. It becomes a realm of technological enchantment, with each robot and AI form functioning as an artifact of curiosity, illuminating our anxieties and aspirations in an era defined by rapid advancements in automation and artificial intelligence.
Ultramono Corp serves as a canvas for exploring profound questions about identity, morality, and the meaning of life in the age of algorithms. It is a space where the future is continuously renegotiated, and the dream of technological transcendence is brought to life.
In Ultramono Corp, the art of AI creation becomes a journey into the digital self, where machines confront the complexity of the human psyche. The project invites visitors to engage with the paradoxes of technological evolution, emerging from the Ultramono workshop not as fixed entities but as ever-evolving identities within the shifting landscape of AI and automation.
