Ultramono AvantGarden (un)guided tour: become part of a work of art

Ultramono AvantGarden (un)guided tour: become part of a work of art

꧁⚙️꧂

Next Edition: The (Un)Guided Tour returns on June 27. Step into alternative realities where multiplicity and in-between spaces thrive. This isn't an escape from reality but a proposal for temporary, uplifting utopian dwellings. These spaces foster inner peace through self-realization, immersion, and connections with others, objects, and avatars. Enhanced by meditative, mantra-like underground techno sounds, this experience transforms your state of mind, offering a profound, immersive journey.
AvantGarden VR art installations redefine art-making. Become part of the artwork by moving sculptural elements, creating new compositions with your avatar, and interacting with others.
Ultramono, the studio/label behind AvantGarden, focuses on two main areas: technological "otherness" - exploring how technology shapes our lives, and garden as Alternative dwelling: - a space for meditation and rethinking the world.
Ultramono symbol, two alien heads tied together, represents the human connection with the non-human—whether it's a machine, phenomenon, mythological entity, or our own avatars.

Alignment Soundscapes and World Music Day

Virtual Reality Art Installation AvantGarden: 20 JUNE 2024, 9PM CET

Join us tonight to kick off the celebration of World Music Day with the latest Ultramono release, Alignment Soundscapes. Inspired by the voices, hum, and joy of AvantGarden, this soundscape will be part of the latest update to the AvantGarden Alignment art installation. Enjoy an (Un)guided tour of the installation accompanied by live DJ sets featuring various flavors of experimental underground techno by ASMO, Lennox, and leDinjo.

Alignment Soundscapes emerged from immersive events in the virtual worlds of AvantGarden, conceived and produced by Ultramono, the art studio and organization run by Tanja Vujinovic. A thriving community of art lovers, dancers, ravers, and forward-thinking tech enthusiasts attend meetups and raves in these virtual spaces, connecting with others while exploring the boundaries of technology and Web 3.0. This ongoing project delves into the complexities of contemporary expression in music and art, continuing to captivate people of all ages, genders, and interests. Join us as we journey onward with AvantGarden into Alignment!

AvantGarden artworks

AvantGarden artworks exist as audiovisual compositions, soundscapes, and virtual worlds, accessible both offline and on various metaverse platforms, exploring themes of recreation, regeneration, and freedom. Visitors can encounter unique, thought-provoking sculptural objects inspired by science, daily life, music, and ecology. From scientific sketches imagining the first flower on Earth to conceptual machines that clean air and water or track our emotions to help us stay in tune with ourselves, each proto-machine, little helper, and participant—has a distinct role in this reality workshop, experienced by thousands of people.

My primary omni-project over the past seven years, AvantGarden, operates as a laboratory of reality. It merges cosmic and bionic elements across various media, including ambient sounds, techno tracks, digital sculptures, and audiovisual artworks, forming spheres, events, and gatherings. These events embrace the concept of an ever-evolving techno-fantasy, inviting the audience to "become part of a work of art" by actively participating through dancing, informal conversations, music-making, and shaping future events. Sometimes these events become "phygital," merging physical installations in galleries and museums with online events featuring international participants and visitors.

AvantGarden aims to inspire and be inspired, crystallizing thoughts and forms that are liberating, enriching, nourishing, and regenerative. It's about giving people a reason to be present and co-create the moment, where each moment is significant, and time becomes a key element of the artwork’s development while simultaneously erasing itself.

Immediacy becomes eternity, and vice versa. Time stretching is our focus, and it feels like our tools are in our hands, at least temporarily. Prismatic, spectral, holographic—like "being in the womb of an alien"—AvantGarden evokes a sense of uncharted territory. Some elements are familiar, some foreign, but everything should feel welcoming, and everyone should feel protected.
