Wearable Art & Proto-Machines
Hello hello, I am back from my (deep Blender/Unity learning) hiatus, and tests for wearable Proto-Machines: T꙲H꙲I꙲N꙲G꙲S꙲ Work on a new project with the working title/code name "Things" has begun! I had to take some time off to brush up my rigging and weight painting skills and expand avatar creation in more detail, as this new continuation of AvantGarden will have elements of wearable art combined with Proto-Machines. Unlike working with more realistic avatars in the past, I am now exploring more stylized, anime type of characters and combining those with Proto-Machine elements. Non-human agents is my ongoing subject, covered in many projects in the past, but this time it will involve actual avatars, wearable parts and Proto-machines getting closer to the human/avatar body. Ever since the "Supermono" installation consisted of around hundred hand made custom textile objects with custom electronics and software made in Max/Msp, or "Genesis" virtual world where an abstract machine-like device, aka Proto-Machine was emitting its attempts to generate techno music made with the help of machine learning, I had plans to return to elements of my physical sculptures with custom electronics and translate it entirely into the realm of the digital. Research is already ongoing as usual- collecting material, reading, initial sketches, and avatar, objects, paintings and character creation. And as always I am truly grateful to my friends and consultants, and most importantly people who publish YouTube tutorials that I sometimes have to watch especially when it comes to VRChat SDK. Onwards with the AvantGarden! And see you on one of the Ultramono weekly events with (un)guided tour of virtual worlds and fantastic music played by my friends and yours truly ═✦⋆☁️•˚🍃✦🌐•˚⚙️✧꧂
